Sadie obtained her B.A. Arch and M. Arch. at the University of Kentucky and soon after, moved to Maryland and worked with a leading healthcare firm. Later returning to beautiful Lexington, KY (They say everyone always comes back, she found it to be true in her case). Her work experience has allowed her to be exposed to different types of architecture like commercial, academic, office and healthcare. This exposure has led her to the realize that healthcare design is her passion. The human-centered design, the opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s care, healing and life, as well as affecting all populations drives her motivation and passion.

Sadie tries to stay involved in all aspects of architecture to continue to make positive changes to the profession. Sadie is an Adjunct Professor at KCTCS, teaching introduction to architectural software. I’m also a Director for AIA East Kentucky and for AIA Kentucky and plans to continue to expand her knowledge, impact, and involvement with many other organizations.
