LOUISVILLE, February 25, 2019 — Greater Louisville Inc., the Metro Chamber of Commerce, awarded the EOP/HOK-designed Kentucky International Convention Center with one of three prestigious Silver Fleur-de-Lis awards presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting today. GLI created the Silver Fleur-de-Lis to recognize outstanding commitments and achievements in making the Greater Louisville region a better place to live and work.
“EOP and the entire design team is quite proud that this project is helping make the Greater Louisville region a better place to live and work,” commented Rick Ekhoff, AIA, LEED AP, design principal for the project. “This award supports our fundamental philosophy that design excellence changes everything.”
The two-year project transformed the convention center to once again make the city a top destination for conventions. KICC represents more than $53 million in annual economic impact for Louisville and Kentucky.
