Kentucky State Police Dedicates New Training Academy

FRANKFORT, Ky., Apr. 28, 2015 — Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear, along with Kentucky State Police leaders, formally dedicated the new EOP-designed Kentucky State Police Academy.

“Just call this one of the biggest and most innovative recycling and re-purposing projects in Kentucky’s history,” said Beshear.

EOP’s design includes an administrative center with offices and meeting areas, dining hall and kitchen and an 8,000-square-foot multi-purpose room with classroom. The design also provides plaza space for minimal training activities along with recreational and ceremonial spaces.

The multi-purpose building serves as the central location for cadet training activities and large gatherings. The high-bay room is designed for flexibility in use and programming, accommodating a regular cadet class of 80 to 90 persons.
