GCTC Opens Center for Technology, Innovation & Enterprise

COVINGTON, Ky., Oct. 7, 2014 — Groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings rarely happen concurrently. But yesterday in downtown Covington, EOP Architects lifted shovels for Gateway Community & Technical College’s Center for Professional Services groundbreaking as well as “cut” the virtual ribbon that formally opened GCTC’s Center for Technology, Innovation & Enterprise.

The Center for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise houses Gateway’s computer and information technologies, instructional design and learning technology, and visual communication programs, as well as programs in business administration systems, criminal justice, education, and interdisciplinary early childhood education.

The Center for Professional Services, formerly the Abode Furniture building, will re-open next spring and house the college’s cosmetology and massage therapy training programs.

“Covington’s renaissance took a giant step forward today, and the Gateway Foundation is proud to play a pivotal role in the process,” remarks Lee Flischel, chair of the Gateway Foundation.
