With projects in over 30 states and a diverse portfolio including office, civic, hospitality, fitness, retail, academic, health care and more, EOP works with clients in both the private and public sector. The firm seeks to enhance the human experience through thoughtful design and is the recipient of multiple national and regional design awards. Creativity is fostered by all in an environment where challenging the process is the daily routine.
EOP was founded by architecture schoolmates Rick Ekhoff and Paul Ochenkoski in 1981; Richard Polk joined shortly afterwards and accepted a partnership in 1989. Together, the three established a cultural foundation and core philosophy focused on design and technical excellence. In 2006, the EOP leadership was expanded to include architect Brent Bruner and interior designer Chris Estes; and in 2019, the firm elevated two architects to principal: Daniel Ware and Kevin Gough. In 2022, architects Jason Dunn, Andrew Moore, and Matthew Schultz were made principal.
