SHELBYVILLE, Ky., June 18, 2019 — Bulleit Distilling Co. officially opened its Shelbyville distillery in 2017, but it was missing both a visitor center and public tours. The former facilitates the latter, so construction began a year later on the Bulleit Visitor Center designed by EOP Architects.
The Bulleit Visitor Experience is a $10 million, 12,000-square-foot space that astutely mixes modern with tradition and promises a unique tasting experience. Three flexible tasting rooms provide a heightened multi-sensory experience with immersive sensory elements like olfactory balls and a timed light and soundscape. A zero-waste cocktail bar with a seasonal menu curated by globally-recognized bartenders, expansive gift shop, a lounge area, outdoor seating space and much more.
With the opening of public tours, Bulleit, which is owned by the spirits giant Diageo, becomes the 17th stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
