SUMMARY:

NBBJ and EOP Architects' design for the expansion of the Lexington Convention Center include changes to Rupp Arena. New exhibition space, ballroom and meeting spaces will be built to the north of the current complex and would anchor the proposed Town Branch Park. NBBJ + EOP’s plans call for increased exhibition and meeting space with an expanded ballroom. Two smaller buildings will front the convention center and Rupp Arena, one tentatively called the Pavilion, and will include meeting space, ballrooms and restaurants.
