Our History

In 1981, after working for architectural firms in Chicago, New York and Kentucky, Rick Ekhoff and Paul Ochenkoski founded the firm that evolved into EOP Architects. Richard Polk joined in 1984, bringing design skills, technical competency and management tools that resulted in a principal position in 1989. In 2006, architect Brent Bruner and interior designer Chris Estes were promoted to principal, each bringing a unique area of specialization to the firm. And in 2019, three architects were elevated to principal including Ben Simmons in Louisville and Daniel Ware and Kevin Gough in Lexington.
